Hogrefe Psykologisk Forlag self-develops and adapts psychological tools for testing in clinical, educational, and HR settings. The laborious process leading to publication of these tools is carried out in close collaboration between our own editors and local experts in their fields. In total 12 dedicated employees and a number of collaboration partners work at our offices, publishing, selling, and delivering our products as well as supporting and training our customers in applying the tools.
Hogrefe Psykologisk Forlag has for many years been the primary publisher of reading and math tests for schools in Denmark. This line of tests has lately been supplemented by teaching materials in reading. In the clinical area Hogrefe Psykologisk Forlag has long been the Danish publisher of renowned international titles such as BRIEF, ADOS, SRS, NEO-PI, MMPI, MSCEIT, RIAS, SON-R, and the Rorschach®. For the HR market Hogrefe Psykologisk Forlag offer tests of personality and IQ, like the NEO-PI and originally developed by the Hogrefe Publishing Group BIP, I-S-T and BOMAT.
Hogrefe Psykologisk Forlag grew out of a more than 60 years old tradition for test development and adaptation. In the middle of the nineteen hundreds Danish school psychologist started working together on voluntary basis to equip themselves with the needed tools for their work. Over the years, this turned into a steady publication program that became professionalized during the seventies and eighties. When the publishing house joined the Hogrefe Publishing Group in 2004 it completed the transition to an international, 21st century organization.
